Pull up a chair in my domestic church and let's chat!

I have worn many labels (Not in any particular order): Catholic, Wife, Mom,Gramma, Doctor, Major, Soccer Mom, Military Wife, Professor, Fellow.

All of these filter my views of the world. I hope that like St. Monica, I can through prayer, words and example, lead my children and others to Faith.

St. Ignatius of Loyola

Taking a break from health care reform and enjoying the feast of St. Ignatius of Loyola. I know that if one of my sons or maybe one day a grandson became a priest, I would feel blessed. But I think I would feel a special grace if he chose to be a Jesuit. More than a few Jesuits have raised my eyebrows, but those who are truly faithful to Ignatian spirituality are like the Marines of the clergy--simply awesome. They just inspire one to see God in all things and do all things for the greater glory of God.

St. Ignatius of Loyola, ora pro nobis

I am just learning more about Ignatian spirituality and enjoy it. I am a Benedictine oblate so had not paid much attention before but I do love the audio retreats I am listening to on line. And I am learning more about the Spiritual Exercises. God bless.
